Capabilities
U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground is a general purpose facility. It is over 1300 square miles in size and features over 200 miles of improved road courses for testing tracked and wheeled military vehicles, and the most modern mine and demolitions test facility in the western hemisphere.
Yuma Proving Ground is an active range with multiple sites established for the purpose to test and evaluate detection, neutralization, and clearing technologies for countermine and unexploded ordnance requirements.
